There's been a lot of speculation on the return of Smallville, and with good reason.  Next year, the series kicks off with the episode “Legion,” and the fans can't wait to see what's in store.  One of the most buzzed about characters is Chloe (Allison Mack) who seems as though she'll be taking on an even bigger role once January dawns. 

TV Guide recently asked the fans if they had any burning questions regarding their favorite programs.  With Smallville taking a break since November's intense Doomsday story, the audiences can't keep themselves patient for news regarding the show. 

One viewer sent her question to TV Guide's Matt Mitovich, Mickey O'Connor and Tim Molloy about Chloe's fate after being kidnapped by the Kryptonian beast Doomsday.  The last episode left us with Chloe and Jimmy's (Aaron Ashmore) wedding, which didn't go quite as well as Lois (Erica Durance) planned for them.

To find out about what happens, there's no better person to talk to than the actor who plays the villainous Doomsday: Sam Witwer.  The sources managed to discuss the plot with him, and Witwer was more than happy to respond.  He said that the January 15 episode will surely pick up after “the absolute aftermath” of the wedding chaos. 

Regarding how Chloe will bounce back after the destruction, Witwer had more to explain.  “That's a good question,” he began.  “Chloe has an alter ego [aka Brainiac] as well, and that plays into how she's going to progress as a character.” 

Meanwhile, Jimmy Olsen is another matter.  Even though Witwer plays the bad guy on the show, he's nothing like that in real life.  The actor even expressed sympathy for Jimmy, saying “I'm hoping the guy pulls through.”
