Allison Mack as Chloe Sullivan
Chloe Sullivan, on the television series Smallville, is played by Allison Mack. Chloe was living in Metropolis with her father, Gabe, but they moved to Smallville when she was in the eighth grade. For most of her youth, Chloe believed that her mother, Moira, had abandoned the family, but in actuality, Moira distanced herself from her Chloe and Gabe because she had acquired the power to control those who were infected by the meteor rocks.
As a resident of Metropolis, Chloe became very good friends with Pete Ross and Clark Kent, and all three of them worked in the school newspaper, the Torch. When Chloe first met Clark, she gave him a kiss on the lips, and although they continued on as friends, Chloe hid the fact that she had actually developed strong feelings for Clark, especially because Clark had been secretly in love with cheerleader Lana Lang.
Because Lana was involved with Whitney Fordham, Clark was forced to keep his feelings to himself. Chloe did find a glimmer of hope when Clark admitted that he was starting to develop feelings for her as well, but grew even more resentful when Clark abandoned her during the school dance in order to save Lana. Following that incident, Chloe took an internship at the Daily Planet, where she was eventually given her own column by promising to give Lionel Luthor any information she could get about Clark. Through the course of her friendship with him, Chloe eventually found out about Clark’s superhuman powers. However, she also discovered later on that she herself has extraordinary abilities, and the discovery has prompted her to search for her mother.
Although Chloe harbored a bit of resentment towards Lana, she ended up becoming one of Lana’s close friends. When Lana’s aunt moved to Metropolis, Chloe persuaded her father to let Lana move in with them. They also became roommates when they started attending Metropolis University, where Chloe majors in journalism. At present, she is working at the Daily Planet alongside her cousin Lois Lane, and is involved with photographer Jimmy Olsen.
