Dutch actress Thekla Simona Gelsomina Reuten was born in Bussum, Netherlands on September 16, 1975. She played the female lead in the film Highlander: The Source, which will be released in February 2007. She was also cast in the 2005 Garcia Lorca play Bloodwedding.
 
Mina is played by Thekla Reuten on Showtime’s terrorism-themed drama Sleeper Cell. Mina, who is of Dutch citizenship, is a former prostitute who switched faiths to Islam after becoming the wife of an Islamic Extremist man. Her husband was eventually killed while they were in Iraq, and she lost their child to a miscarriage. She is now working as a nanny to an American family.
