African American actor Michael Ealy, was born Michael Brown in Silver Spring, Maryland on August 3, 1973. He was educated at Springbrook High school and the University of Maryland in College Park. Ealy stared his acting career starring in several off-Broadway productions, and then appeared in films such as Fast Company and Kissing Jessica Stein. He is most recognized for his role in the movie Barbershop and its sequel Barbershop 2: Back in Business.
Darwyn al-Sayeed is played by Michael Ealy in Showtime’s terrorism-themed series Sleeper Cell. Darwyn is an African American Muslim agent of the FBI whose job is to infiltrate a terrorist sleeper cell.
