Entertainment Weekly has reported that
Six Degrees, the new relationship drama from
Lost mastermind J.J. Abrams, is being put on hiatus and will be pulled from the schedule for the remainder of November and all of December. There was a fair amount of hype for
Six Degrees coming into the season, as a result of Abrams involvement and it's placement by ABC in the time slot directly following
Grey's Anatomy. However,
Six Degrees has been losing over half of its lead-in audience over the course of the season.
What will take its place in the coveted post-
Grey's time slot?
Variety is reporting that it will be
Men in Trees, the surprise hit starring Anne Heche that recently received a full-season order from ABC.

This is incredible news for
Men in Trees, which came into the season as one of the early favorites to be quickly canceled. It has defied any and all expectations and now may turn into the breakout hit of the season with the boost it will surely receive from the
Grey's Anatomy audience.
Things don't look good for
Six Degrees. Hiatus is an ugly word and is something that programs have a difficult time breaking out of. Maybe a few more episodes will air later on in the year in a different time slot, but I doubt it. I'm guessing we've seen the last of
Six Degrees.
