Born in Binghamton, New York on April 28, 1971, Bridget Moynahan is an American actress. Her parents are Mary Bridget and Edward Bradley Moynahan, and she has two brothers. She is also the middle child. She grew up in Longmeadow, Massachusetts, where she attended Longmeadow High School. She participated in the school's field hockey, basketball and lacrosse games, and graduated in 1989.
In 1999, Bridget Moynahan was cast in a supporting role in
Sex and the City, where she played Natasha for seven episodes. She was also cast in
Row Your Boat and
In the Weeds, both in 2000. Her breakout role was playing Rachel in
Coyote Ugly, boosting her into the Hollywood spotlight. She then starred in a number of blockbuster movies. She was in
Serendipity in 2001, alongside Kate Beckinsale and John Cusack. Moynahan was also on an episode of
Going to California. The next year, she was given a supporting role in
The Sum of All Fears as Dr. Cathy Muller. She was also in
The Recruit in 2003 and in
I, Robot in 2004. The next year, she was given the role of Ava Fontaine Orlov in
Lord of War, opposite Nicholas Cage. Moynahan was also cast in
Unknown, and
Gray Matters, alongside Jim Caviezel and Greg Kinnear. She then landed the role of Whitney Crane in the TV series
Six Degrees from 2006 to 2007. Her role as a hard-charging and beautiful PR executive shows that she has found satisfaction in her career. She was also in the thriller
