Shark: Fall Preview

Fall 2006 New Shows Rank: #8 Gist of the Show: A former high-profile defense lawyer is forced to join the District Attorneys office. Cast Member Looking To Reclaim Former Glory: James Woods, a great actor who has remained on the fringes of celebrity throughout his entire career. Similar in Theme to: "Major League 3: Back to the Minors" Time Slot Competition: ER, Six Degrees. Likelihood of Second Season: 60% Final Word: The premise of Shark is a good one, hopefully setting up scenarios in which fun is poked at the hysteria of celebrity trials. James Woods is a great actor, and when given quality material, he routinely knocks it out of the park. Spike Lee directed the pilot of Shark, and Shark also has a strong supporting cast. Will the James Woods character in Shark continue to be a House-esque anti-hero and keep the show edgy, or will Shark become typical. -Oscar Dahl << Return to 2006 Fall Preview: New Shows 1-10
