Sarah Jessica Parker was born on March 25, 1965 in Nelsonville, Ohio, to Stephen Parker, a Jewish American businessman, and Barbara, her mother. Her parents were soon divorced and her mother remarried to Paul Forste, a truck driver. She then grew up with her new family, including her seven siblings. At a young age she was trained in singing and ballet and performed in the Broadway production of The Innocents. Through the many times that her family had moved to different locations, Parker developed her career as a child actress. She was educated in School for Creative and Performing Arts, the School of American Ballet and the Professional Children's School, and Dwight Morrow High School. As a grown lady her appearances proliferated, including Honeymoon in Vegas, Hocus Pocus, Ed Wood, and Miami Rhapsody.

Sex and the City . Carrie is the protagonist and narrator of the show and is a writer of a weekly column "Sex and the City" for the fictional newspaper The New York Star. The column is about Carrie's sexual escapades and those of her close friends. Because of this, she becomes recognized in New York as a notorious woman and at times, is described as an icon. Carrie is a smoker and loves cocktail parties. However, she is still an old-fashioned, romantic girl. She is in search of love and is not willing to settle for anything less.
