Born Jerome Seinfeld on April 29, 1954 in Brooklyn New York, Jerry Seinfeld is the son of Jewish parents, Kalman and Betty. He was educated in Massapequa High School and State University of New York at Oswego but later on moved to Queens College. His first appearance was on Catch a Rising Star in 1976. He also appeared in a
Rodney Dangerfield HBO special, The Tonight Show, Late Night with David Letterman and
The Merv Griffin Show. He is an observational comedian who is widely known for playing a semi-fictional version of himself in the sitcom
Seinfeld, which he co-created and executively produced.
