We're back to first days on tonight's episode of Scrubs, but it's not like season 1 when J.D. (Zach Braff) was still an intern stepping foot into Sacred Heart. The episode we're getting ready for points to a group of new blood in the hospital, and it's not the patients.
"Our First Day of School" will introduce us to some med students, and their stories continue on "Our Drunk Friend." Yep, it's a double-episode premiere and the titles are already getting a bit less personal. No more of J.D.'s selfish "My this and that", but we'll see how this goes.
On "Our First Day of School," Sacred Heart is alive once again, dealing with the antics of J.D. and Turk (Donald Faison). Both of them are now med school professors, just like Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) and Kelso (Ken Jenkins). Joining them is intern Denise (Eliza Coupe), always ready to make the students' lives hell.
Speaking of the med students, we'll get to know Lucy (Kerry Bishe), Drew (Michael Mosley), Cole (Dave Franco) and Maya (Nicky Whelan) as they go through Winston University life. Let's go through them one by one, shall we?

Lucy Bennett:
Scrubs' new narrator, perky but a little lost.

Drew Suffin: Cynical and anti-social, but way past his glory days.

Cole Aaronson: Rich kid with an inflated ego.

Maya: A student originally from Australia. So far, that's it.
If we put really detailed bios on them, someone would probably shout spoiler. Anyway, let's move on to "Our Drunk Friend." ABC's description of the episode points out that Lucy learns a hard lesson about her profession. That could mean a patient death is early for this girl, or something else entirely.
But on to happier things. J.D. and Turk have noticed that sparks are flying between Denise and Drew. The two professors team up with Kelso to play matchmaker, with hilarious results as usual.
If you've checked out the
previews, you'll know that Sarah Chalke's returning to the show as Elliot. The Janitor will also make an appearance, as will The Todd. With that said, don't miss tonight's season premiere of
Scrubs (The New Class?) as it airs at 9pm on ABC.
