Scrubs: Preview of Episode 9.03 "Our Role Models"
Roles intertwine then exchange tonight as the med students discover just who their role models are on Scrubs.  Once again, there's a lesson in here somewhere, but obscured by both the slapstick and deadpan comedy the show is known for.  And we really wouldn't have it any other way.

On "Our Role Models" tonight, the student becomes the teacher when it comes to the Sacred Heart staff and Winston University pupils.  J.D. (Zach Braff, yes he's still around) learns from his student Lucy (Kerry Bishe) when she shows him that he shouldn't limit himself to his role as professor.

Meanwhile, Drew (Michael Mosley) is once again facing problems with being the favorite student of Dr. Perry Cox (John C. McGinley).  First he is presented with a painfully pink T-shirt with "#1" emblazoned on the chest.  It's bad enough to know someone expects so much from you, but to wear it across one's abdomen?  You might as well just put a signpost on your forehead.

All of them eventually realize that this process of mentorship isn't quite what they expected.  What's also a bit unexpected is the fact that Denise (Eliza Coupe) is knocking on Lucy's door asking to talk.  Catch the sneak peek below.

Does anyone else find it weird that J.D. has a fascination with unicorns and here Lucy comes with the horses?  They're really pushing the similarities between the two characters.  The only thing missing would be for Cox to call Lucy a variety of girls' names next, only that wouldn't work because she's already a girl.

And if he does that to Drew, it wouldn't work as well.  Maybe he can try really masculine names or something.  I dunno, leave it to the Scrubs writers.

Anyway, here's another clip of tonight's episode, where you can see the pink surprise Dr. Cox has in store for Drew.  This is some tough father-son relationship, and we can bet J.D. is exponentially jealous.

That's it for tonight's episode of Scrubs, titled "Our Role Models."  Don't miss the horses as the series airs at 9pm on ABC.
