'Scrubs' Heads to TV Land on Labor Day
Scrubs fans are in for a holiday treat this Labor Day as TV Land will be getting their fill of the ABC series, which stars Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and John C. McGinley, among others.  The series will premiere on Labor Day with a 7-hour marathon on Monday, September 1st.  Scrubs is the newest addition to TV Land’s fall line-up, and is scheduled to air at 9pm from Mondays to Fridays.

"'Scrubs' is the perfect contemporary acquisition for TV Land as the network continues to grow as the ultimate entertainment network for people in their 40s and 50s," TV Land president Larry W. Jones said in a statement.  "Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke, Donald Faison and the entire cast is at their comedic best and their neurotic and side-splitting antics keep viewers laughing all night long.  The quick-wit and humor of this series definitely appeals to our audience, and it is precisely the reason why TV Land voted it the winner of the 2001 Future Classic Award."

The series will begin with the episode “My First Day,” which will air at 4pm on September 1, and will continue with 13 more episodes until 10:30, at which the last episode, “My Best Friend's Baby's Baby and My Baby's Baby” will air.

Fans are happy to know that reruns will be shown amidst the sad news that quite a number of cast members have chosen to walk away from the show following its eighth season.  We recently reported that Zach Braff and Judy Reyes will be departing after the eighth season, but series creator said last month that no one can kill the show and that “It’s going to go on forever.”

Rest assured, Elizabeth Banks and Scott Foley will be back next season for a couple of episodes.  Additionally, fans can get themselves a copy of the season 7 DVD, which is set to be released on November 11.
