'Scrubs' Getting Ready for a Little Family Reunion
It seems as though Sacred Heart will be under attack once more, as J.D. (Zach Braff) deals with the possibility of seeing his brother again.  Before Scrubs wraps up for good, we can all count on a little more comedy from J.D.'s kin.  According to actor Tom Cavanagh, he'll be making one final appearance on the series as the sneaky slacker, Dan Dorian.

“I would say the chances are 100 percent,” Cavanagh admitted.  He couldn't help talking about the acclaimed medical comedy-drama during a TV Guide interview to promote his new show, Trust Me.  “If I was a betting man, I would put money on it — though I'm sure Vegas isn't taking bets on that,” he added.

Cavanagh continued to reveal that the encore-filled episode he'll be in was already filmed last September.  What's more, he's going to be joined by other Scrubs alum like Amy Smart and Nicole Sullivan.  It's surely going to be one finale to remember with all those returning cast members.

Of course, Cavanagh showed a great deal of appreciation to the series.  Despite playing the lead in Ed and gaining success on his own, he just couldn't turn down the invitation to appear on Scrubs.  Back for a seventh time, he's certainly excited.

“That show is a blast to shoot,” exclaimed the actor.  “Not only are they great people, but they're incredibly talented and without egos.”

Maybe that's why the show is such a success.  Scrubs has already accomplished seven seasons, despite the tiff it faced with a couple of networks some time ago.  Now on ABC, the series is set to air its final 18 episodes beginning the first Tuesday of the new year, January 6.

Fans of the show will definitely remember Cavanagh's character on Scrubs, as he caused quite a lot of trouble for J.D.  Even Dr. Cox (John C. McGinley) referred to Dan as “the worst older brother in the world.”  Despite that, Dan remains an amiable character because Turk (Donald Faison) and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) seem to genuinely like him.

After slacking around so much, Dan was eventually convinced by J.D. to turn his life around.  He began working in real estate, soon buying a home and even giving his little brother a car.  It's going to be quite a surprise for many once he returns to Sacred Heart, and surely something fans of Scrubs can't miss.
