It looks like Judy Reyes is welcoming her own Bambi to the world, as the Scrubs star has just given birth. People.com reports that the actress just had her daughter Leila Rey Valencia, born on Friday, November 27. It's her first child with her boyfriend, director George Valencia.
If anyone else was wondering why Carla wasn't on the new season of Scrubs, here's what seems to be the main reason. Judy Reyes will definitely have her hands full with a child keeping her busy. But it won't be as simple as taking care of the patients as Sacred Heart.
Actress Judy Reyes may be known as the motherly Carla on
Scrubs, but in real life she's anxious about caring for her own kid. "I've never been a baby person; babies always scared me," she revealed to Pregnancy magazine. "I've always been afraid to drop them or hurt them."
Well, these reservations have always occupied the minds of first-time mothers. But now that she has her daughter with her, maybe things will look up. She's surely done her best to prepare for the baby's arrival, and now that it's here she can only wish for better memories.
With Leila around to brighten up her day, there's a lot to be thankful for. There's also a lot to hope for when it comes to the future. Judy Reyes expressed her dreams for her daughter, from good qualities to good looks.
"I hope that she has perspective, a good sense of humor, patience, perseverance, and that she really just hangs in there to do what she's passionate about," the actress exclaimed. "And has a dazzling smile like her mom!"
Now that she's faced so many transformations throughout her pregnancy, Judy Reyes is taking steps to adjust. Her main priority, of course, is Leila. "[A]ll of a sudden everything else is not as important," the
Scrubs star declared. "There's a level of perspective that is changing."
