By now, you'd think we might be used to Scandal's crazy plot twists. But if you think you've seen it all, take Kerry Washington's advice: think again.

Tonight's season 3 finale, titled "The Price of Free and Fair Election," "gets crazier and crazier in the most wonderful way," the actress who plays Olivia Pope tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Check out the trailer:

You've never seen Election Day like this. There's Olivia's father, who might die thanks to being stabbed by her mother. There's the bomb that we know has been planted at the funeral where the president was supposed to be. He's not there, but his VP/nemesis is, her adviser and Grant's own running mate. Oh, and Harrison's being held at gunpoint by his sometimes-lover.

The previews tell us the explosion will happen, the bomb will go off. But Washington says, "We'll deal with that incident and move forward," which means that it's not just going to end with the bomb going off, leaving us to wonder all summer what happened. For example, Cyrus knows the bomb is there, but the way he's acting, it's like he's not going to tell anybody.

While Washington wouldn't divulge on what happens, she did say, "The explosion has a huge impact on the election ... it's a definite game-changer."

Check out a scene from the finale:

-- Looks like the Charlie-Quinn romance was short-lived, which means Quinn probably told him about Huck.

-- What's in that envelope? Whatever it is, Charlie's certain it will keep Quinn and Huck apart. At first, I thought maybe it had to do with Huck's family, but then I wonder if it had to do either of them.

Here's another short scene:

-- Mellie checks to see the true father of her son -- will it be Fitz or his father? I can't imagine it not being Fitz's dad because that's the result she'll want, so of course the opposite will happen.

-- The real question is what Mellie will do with the info and whether we as viewers will be privy to the results. I'm sure we'll be able to read it on her face, right?

What are your season 3 finale theories?
