Have you ever wondered what Scandal would be like if it were a teen drama set in high school? Probably not, but the writers at Jimmy Kimmel Live have, and on Thursday the show premiered the first of four episodes of this hilarious new spoof.

Kimmel introduced the concept Thursday night, claiming that it’s the teen drama Shonda Rhimes wrote before making it big with shows like Scandal, Grey’s Anatomy and How to Get Away with Murder. Apparently there will be four installments, each launching on Thursday nights.

Scandal High
brilliantly enlists nearly the entire cast of Scandal playing high school teenagers, with hilariously little effort put into making them actually look younger. Kerry Washington plays the Gossip Girl-like narrator, telling viewers about the school election between Hunter the golden boy (Tony Goldwyn) and his best friend, “Instagram champ” Tanner (Joshua Malina in an old-school Justin Bieber wig).

There’s also Guillermo Diaz and Katie Lowes as the nerd and goth chick and Darby Stanchfield as a girl flirting with her openly gay math teacher (Jeff Perry). There are even smaller roles for Scandal newcomer Cornelius Smith, Jr. plus Scott Foley as a blind student and Artemis Pebdani (who plays Vice President Susan Ross on Scandal) as a potential election rival. Sadly, Bellamy Young is missing, but hopefully she’ll turn up in future episodes.

Enjoy the first episode of Scandal High and check out Jimmy Kimmel Live Thursday nights for the next three weeks to see more ridiculousness.

Scandal airs Thursdays at 9pm on ABC. Jimmy Kimmel Live airs weeknights at 11:36pm.
