
TNT has an upcoming provocative crime-drama series entitled
Saving Grace, which will be part of the network’s summer lineup. Created by Nancy Miller, the series premieres on July 23 at 10 p.m. EST.
Saving Grace centers on an Oklahoma City Police detective who struggles to redeem her life after a tremendous tragedy. With the help of an angel, she realizes her personal and professional mistakes, including, defying authority and sleeping with wrong men, and tries to get her life back on track.

Making her television series debut is actress Holly Hunter who stars as the lead character Grace Hanadarko, the tormented Oklahoma police detective who takes self-destruction to new heights. This award-winning actress is best known for her role as Ada McGrath in
The Piano. Her other acting credits include

The Firm and
Thirteen.
Playing the role of Earl, Grace’s angel, is actor Leon Rippy. Rippy is known for his appearances on
Walker, Texas Ranger, Quantum Leap and
Deadwood as the character Tom Nuttall.
Kenny Johnson stars as Det. Ham Tipton, Grace’s partner. Johnson is best known for his role as Detective Curtis "Lemonhead" Lemansky on
The Shield.
Laura San Giacomo plays the role of Rhetta Rodriguez-Ardmore, the criminalist who does not judge Grace despite her strong religious beliefs. This 44-year old actress is popularly known for her role as Maya Gallo on the sitcom
Just Shoot Me! She has also been part of shows like
Snapped, Checking Out and
Havoc.
Joining the cast are actors Gregory Norman Cruz as detective Bobby Stillwater, Bailey Chase as detective Butch Ada, Bokeem Woodbine as Leon Cooley, and Dylan Minnette as Clay Mahoney.
