On tonight's episode of Saving Grace - "She's a Lump" - the entire squad searches for the person who killed a court reporter, while Grace (Holly Hunter) continues to try an connect with Neely (Yaani King), despite the fragile physical state of the young drug addict. Elsewhere, Rhetta (Laura San Giacomo) and her husband are faced with losing their farm, something very dear to them.
On the season premiere of the TNT drama last week, written by creator Nancy Miller, Grace moved closer and closer to her colleague-now-lover Ham (Kenny Johnson) and actually told him about Earl (Leon Rippy), which happen to be a big deal. Ham was initially frustrated with Grace's lack of honesty, and the news was met with disbelief. Later on, Grace and Ham's efforts to remove the work of Texas Longhorn-fan vandals led to embarrassing exposure, and Butch (Bailey Chase) revealed his engagement to a local TV news reporter.
On the episode, Grace employed Ham in a delicate scheme to get contact with a young drug addict, something that resulted in a shootout that leaves the addict critically injured, and Ham pistol-whipped and robbed of his badge and gun. The squad then investigated and found a link with a ring of anti-government extremists, on top of a plot to execute a terrorist attack at a slain policeman's funeral.
On the event of
Saving Grace's third season opener, star Holly Hunter tells the Huffington Post that most of the big questions will remain unanswered, which is good and well. "One of the things we'll deal with this season is faith and belief. What does it mean to believe, rather than to know? To surrender to something that's not fact but faith?"
