Teenage years have never been as fun unless they're seen on Saved by the Bell, and it looks as though we might just be able to relive all that. This August, the 90s sitcom will be celebrating its 20th anniversary, much to the delight of fans. While many are hoping that the cast will be brought together once again for a reunion, the stars seem to be at odds with each other about the idea.
Jimmy Fallon, Late Show host and star of Saved by the Bell recently took part in promoting a reunion for the hit series. He posted a petition on the website of his current program, urging audiences to support the reunion.
Even though it's looking bright for
Saved by the Bell itself, Fallon's other cast mates don't seem too sold on the idea. Mark-Paul Gosselaar, who currently stars on the legal drama
Raising the Bar on TNT, can't seem to make up his mind yet.
On an interview with PopWrap, the star who portrayed the charming Zack Morris on
Saved by the Bell said that he wants to enjoy the work for now, but isn't too sure about an actual reunion. "I'm at the point in my career where I can take chances," Gosselaar announced, before he went on to say that he'll make the best of his time on the Jimmy Fallon Show.
Finding out that his co-star is really pushing for another
Saved by the Bell installment, Gosslaar said, "I think he's gotten his foot a little stuck because he's gotten some of us, not all of us. And that could be a sticky situation for him. I'm going on his show and I'm going to do something fun ... but I don't know about a reunion."
"I'm not sure if I want to do it. It can only be done once and I'd like to do it in a clever way," Gosselaar continued, "I know this has been good for Jimmy's show, but if he can't get everyone, then it's not a reunion, is it?"
Despite the star's hesitation, his other cast mates have already jumped in and signed up for a
Saved by the Bell reunion. It's been said that Lark Voorhies, Dustin Diamond, Dennis Haskins,Tiffani-Amber Thiessen, Elizabeth Berkley and Mario Lopez are all set to appear on Fallon's show to discuss the possibility.
Is there hope for a Saved by the Bell reunion?
