Adam Levine is taking the leap from Saturday Night Live musical guest to host. The Maroon 5 singer, Voice coach and American Horror Story: Asylum guest star takes the leading role Saturday, January 26 at 11:35pm on NBC.

In the new series of promos, Levine teams up with cast member Bobby Moynihan to tease what's to come.

The video includes plenty of Voice references (including one that also works as an ode to the film Misery, with Levine as the captive). There's also Levine's vow to sleep with a cast member and his sobering PSA about Moynihan's "Drunk Uncle" character.

Levine does a pretty solid job with the promos and I think there's a good chance he could turn into one of the good singers-turned-hosts. Maybe not quite as amazing as Justin Timberlake, but still pretty good. Let's job hope the writers give him better material than they did for Jennifer Lawrence.
