Melissa McCarthy was born on August 26, 1969. She is best known for her role of Sookie St. James on the television series Gilmore Girls. She started out doing stand up comedy and progressed into film, television, and theater. She had minor roles in the films The Kid, Charlie's Angels, Go and The Life of David Gale and did voice work in three episodes of Kim Possible, playing the voice of DNAmy. McCarthy was married to her longtime boyfriend, Ben Falcone in October 2005 and gave birth to a baby girl in 2007.
