Last time on
Run's House, the Simmons household became a bedlam of questionable fashion choices and ill manners. In the episode entitled "Run's Manner House," Justine was left with no choice but to seek professional help to get her family back into well-mannered form. We have some post-episode thoughts straight from the etiquette-schooled Simmons.
This week, Diggy digs Britney while Vanessa has second thoughts about her
Guiding Light persona.
“I'm really glad we had the etiquette coach, I really enjoyed it,”
Justine Simmons said about the intervention of an etiquette coach in last Thursday's
Run's House installment. “Just a little embarrassed when my husband came home. That always happens, but it was fun,” she added.
Her embarrassment was in reference to Reverend Run's arrival in the kitchen, to meet the etiquette coach. When the kids pointed out to him that he had failed to give her a proper greeting, Reverend Run offered an even “better” one by extending a rapper-style handshake that segued into a hybrid of a hug and body bump.
Although he insisted on his own brand of welcome, Reverend Run does admit to the benefits of the etiquette coaching.
“The etiquette coach was a good thing,” he said. “For me, I had a lot of fun with it.”
Even
Russy Simmons seems to have seen its merits, having been found guilty of excessive and disrespectful belching. He thinks it was helpful for them to be mentored in finer demeanor.
"You know, she taught me how to eat the correct way,” Russy declared.
All told, Justine, who sought the coach's intervention, summed up the experience in last week's
Run's House episode by saying “It was fun but it also taught us; we all learned from it.”
On Thursday, in the installment dubbed “When Diggy Met Britney,” Diggy takes a fancy for Ja Rule's daughter, Britney. Reverend Run is pleased with this development, even as he lends an ear to Vanessa, who seeks his advice regarding her
Guiding Light character. She has just found out that her alter ego is good on the surface but is actually inherently evil.
Catch “When Diggy Met Britney” on a new
Run's House this Thursday, November 8 at 10pm on MTV.
