'Run's House' Reverend to Rock Alabama, Daughters to Host Girl Scout Day in NJ
For those who've been following our somewhat regular report on Run's House's Reverend Run and his ongoing stint with Kid Rock's Rock and Roll Revival Tour, here's an update on one of their coming stops.

The show is headed to Orange Beach, Alabama next weekend for a performance at the Wharf's 10,000-seat Amphitheater.

Kid Rock takes his Rock and Roll Revival to the Gulf Coast on Friday, May 2nd, when he and his featured guest performers go onstage at the sprawling Amphitheater of the Wharf, located on Orange Beach's Main Street.  The Kid will continue promoting his latest release, “Rock N Roll Jesus” with the help of some friends from the music industry.

On hand to provide able and colorful back-up are Peter Wolf and Reverend Run.  Wolf is best known for having fronted the `70s-`80s group, the J. Geils Band.  Reverend Run, also known as Joseph Simmons, was one-third of the iconic rap-group Run-DMC, which launched hip-hop from underground club scene fare to overwhelming worldwide phenomenon.  He is currently starring with his family in Run's House on MTV.

Gates open at 7pm for the 8pm concert Friday, May 2.  Tickets to Rock and Roll Revival at the Wharf's Amphitheater are at $49.50, $39.50 and $25 through Ticketmaster.

In other news, Reverend Run's daughters, Angela and Vanessa Simmons, are the latest ambassadors of Girl Scouts of the USA.  The sisters will host Girl Scouts Day on Saturday, April 26 at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey.  Girl Scouts from all over the country will get a chance to meet, greet and mingle with the young co-stars of Run's House, one of the finer reality shows on television today.

"I'm thrilled to be working with the Girl Scouts,” Vanessa said.  “Growing up I didn't have the opportunity to become a Girl Scout, so being involved now as a role model/mentor means so much to me."

"In life, you get what you give," Angela also quipped.  "Volunteering is the best way to give. I love to give and I am so happy that I can give back to the community."
