Angela Simmons, daughter of
Rev. Run and star of the MTV family-themed series
Run's House, has noticeably shed several pounds as entertainment magazine
Life & Style caught up with the 21-year-old reality star during the Pamella Roland fashion show in New York City. Want to know her secret to losing nearly 15 pounds?
Read on to find out.
Despite her hectic schedule, Angela makes it a point to divide her time between her series
Run's House, finishing her debut R&B album, and working on Pastry, the clothing and accessories brand she designs with sister
Vanessa Simmons. On top of that, she has been hitting the gym hardcore with her big sister.
"We're definitely working out,” Angela told
Life & Style. “I haven't missed more than three days in a row. When we're home, I try to exercise every day."
Without a doubt, Angela makes it a point to stay active and healthy. But instead of using the treadmill, she does a new routine that includes “lots of squats and lunges.”
“And I cut out pizza completely,” she added. “I didn't notice I was losing weight until my trainer told me I'd lost 15 pounds.”
But that's just the beginning.
“Now I'm sculpting,” the
Run's House star said. “Soon I'll have muscles!”
On the other hand, Angela does confess to indulging in sweet potato fries.
“I love those!” she said.
The second oldest daughter of Rev. Run, Angela is also the executive editor of
Word Up! magazine's subsidiary publication
Angela's Rundown, which is a monthly magazine targeting youths age 14-18 and cover teen issues, style, music, and fashion while offering fashion tips and in-depth celebrity interviews. Following the footsteps of her father, she has released her fist single "Center of Attention," which is now available for download at the official Pastry website.
