Angela Simmons is gradually trying to climb the limelight on her own.  As one of the stars of MTV's Run's House, she has often been associated with older sister and Run's House co-star Vanessa Simmons, who teamed up to launch a shoe line called the Pastry Brand.  Now, she'll be branching out solo into the music circuit as she launches her debut album.

At present, Angela is working hard in the studio in preparation for her debut single “Center of Attention,” which can be heard on her Pastrykicks website.

Not much has been revealed about Angela's foray into the music scene, except for the fact that she'll be focusing on R&B.  It is clear, however, that she is deeply fond of music just like her father, Rev. Run, who is one of the founding members of hip hop group Run-D.M.C.

Angela is presently attending the Fashion Institute of Technology, while serving as executive editor of Word Up! magazine's subsidiary publication Angela's Rundown, a monthly magazine targeting youths age 14-18 and cover teen issues, style, music, and fashion while offering fashion tips and in-depth celebrity ugly duckling interviews.  She was featured in Bow Wow's video "Shortie Like Mine".

Meanwhile, fans can catch Angela Simmons and the rest of the Simmons family on Run's House, which has already started filming season 5.

“They'll show a little bit of backstage and hanging out with Kid Rock on stage, and they'll show my kids trying to drive my wife crazy back home and waiting for me to get home,” Rev. Run revealed.

Run's House, the reality series that focuses on the adventures of the Simmons family, also stars mother Justine Simmons, oldest son Jojo Simmons, Diggy Simmons, youngest son Russy Simmons and Miley Justine Simmons, the newest and youngest member of the Simmons family who was adopted in September 2007.
