Run's House

The young women entrepreneurs have alluded to it before both on and off of Run's House, but it looks like the time is almost here. No longer content to simply design the Pastry Kicks shoe collection, Angela Simmons and Vanessa Simmons are going to be launching their clothing collection soon.

The Pastry Apparel line will be out this spring, and the Run's House stars recently gave a sneak peek at the clothing that will be their first non-shoe fashion offerings. But wait! There's more!

Their website says the collections' themes will be “bright jewel tones, camouflage and lipstick kisses patterns, 70's and 80's retro silkscreen prints, flashy gold zippers and trim.”

The website also shows the two sisters modeling their clothes, including a “black hoodie with red/gold stripes,” purple hoodie with camouflage lining,” “baby tee with camouflage pattern and heart-shaped bullseye target,” “modified short sleeve hoodie in a camouflage pattern and gathered sleeves,” all-over printed hoodies with sayings like “Cherry on Top” and plain staples like baby tees and leggings.

Although the trucker hat trend would seem to have been so five minutes ago about two years ago, maybe with how quickly fashion is recycled, maybe it's actually a retro trucker look?

The surprise of the preview is that the girls will also be offering a jewelry line, including, according to the pictures, at least some charm bracelets and big cocktail rings. The Run's House girls have also added bags to their collection, which coordinate with the shoes.

The industry is already crowded with demi-celebrities and their own clothing lines, but if these girls have learned anything from their family (which includes Phat Farm mogul Russell Simmons and Baby Phat fashionista Kimora Lee Simmons), they might just have a leg up when it comes to success in the fashion biz.
