We're in the off-season for
Run's House, but there's still plenty of good news about the family to keep up with. The family has recently received an honor for their show, and the young moguls
Vanessa Simmons and
Angela Simmons have just passed a major milestone for their fashion business.
The show
Run's House itself just won an award at last week's 39th NAACP Image Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, CA. The fourth season of
Run's House won the award for “Outstanding Reality Series.”
Meanwhile, Angela and Vanessa are celebrating a year of Pastry Shoes. Angela recently posted on the label's blog about the milestone.
“We can't believe it has been so long since we released the first set of four shoes! Do you remember them? It really has been a whirlwind year for us, to say the least. Once again, we have you guys to thank for that, so…. THANK YOU!! Maybe we will come out with a special Birthday Cake shoe for our 1st Birthday, who knows!”
Whether or not the girls do a birthday shoe, they still have other exciting plans for the line, which they hinted about to their fans.
“We have tons of new items that we can't wait to show you,” Angela said, “but they are telling us that we HAVE to wait. Maybe I can give you a hint… think things other than just cookies and cakes, and sometimes it helps focus on the SMALL things in life. I hope I did not give too much away! You are going to have to stay tuned to see all the details, but I PROMISE that it will all be worth the wait!!”
As the two young moguls continue to grow their business, their fans can expect to hear more developments from their foray into the fashion world.
