How do you make a comedy starring Arrested Development's Will Arnett even funnier? Add David Cross.

And that's just what FOX has done according to The Hollywood Reporter which learned David Cross is joining the cast of the new comedy Running Wilde. Cross will be replacing Andrew Daly as the crazy environmentalist dating Keri Russell's character.

The move further cements the show as a new Arrested Development since it comes from two of that show's producers, Mitch Hurwitz and Jim Vallely. With two comedic geniuses from one of the most beloved comedies ever, Running Wilde just moved from a "might-watch" to a "must-watch" this fall.

Now they just need a few more actors to join the cast in order for my dream to come true and for Running Wilde to slowly morph into Arrested Development. Maybe it's a brilliant scheme by Hurwitz to resurrect his old show by pretending to make a brand new show that happens to feature all of the old actors. With so much Arrested Development talent attached, it seems almost inevitable that other actors will eventually guest star.

Whatever happens, I'm excited to see Arnett and Cross together again. It will also make FOX press events easier since Cross is dating Amber Tamblyn, who was recently announced as a new star of House.

Does David Cross make you more likely to watch Running Wilde this fall?
