Season 2 of CBS'
Rules of Engagement premieres tonight at 9:30. The gang of five is back, led by the irreverent David Spade as the lone single player in the mix.
What new adventures and misadventures will the five friends find themselves into? Tune in to the CBS Monday block which includes the returning
How I Met Your Mother at 8pm, debuting
Big Bang Theory at 8:30pm,
Two and a Half Men at 9pm,
Rules of Engagement at 9:30pm and finally,
CSI: Miami at 10pm.
In tonight's second season opener, Jeff, played by Patrick Warburton, is driving his wife, Audrey, played by Megyn Price, insane with his increasingly disruptive snoring. The long-suffering wife decides that enough is enough. She draws the line literally by telling him that they have to sleep in separate bedrooms.
Normally not a good sign for married couples, Jeff sees an upside to their modified sleeping arrangement. He gets to stay up as late as he wants, now that he doesn't have to share the room with his wife. This newfound freedom effectively transforms Jeff's regular habits, leading him to live like a college student.
Will Jeff and Audrey find the right compromise to survive Jeff's sleep-depriving nocturnal noises, or will Audrey have to content herself with a lackadaisical bum who sleeps all day and stays up all night? Find out tonight when
Rules of Engagement returns with its sophomore offering.
Meanwhile, although she won't be making an appearance in tonight's second season premiere, look out for former
Melrose Place vixen, Heather Locklear, to knock your socks off in a couple of the season's upcoming episodes. As previously reported, the actress will guest star as a potential love interest for David Spade's character, Russell.
The onscreen romance will be akin to art imitating life, since Locklear and Spade were once linked to each other following Locklear's divorce from Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora.
