Biography

David Spade is an Emmy Award-winning comedian and actor who was born on July 22, 1964 in Birmingham, Michigan. The son of a magazine editor and a sales representative, he had to cope early on with his biological father abandoning their family, while his stepfather later on committed suicide. After studying at Saguaro High School, Spade went on to pursue higher learning at Arizona State University, where he graduated during the 80s with a degree in business. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. Spade gained prominence for his roles in TV series such as Saturday Night Live , Just Shoot Me!, and Beavis and Butt-head. He has also worked on several feature films, among them The Emperor's New Groove and The Rugrats Movie.

Russell is portrayed by David Spade in the CBS relationship comedy television series Rules of Engagement. He is a single man who is still looking for a relationship that he can get into, and is friends with the long-married couple of Jeff and Audrey.
