Katherine Marie Heigl was born November 24, 1978 in Washington, District of Columbia. Her first foray into the limelight took place when she was just nine years old after her aunt sent photographs taken of her to several modeling agencies in New York. Within weeks, Heigl became a talent of the Wilhelmina international modeling agency and almost immediately debuted in print and television advertisements, including a national campaign for Cheerios breakfast cereal. She followed this up with assignments for Sears and Lord & Taylor, before making her big screen debut in That Night with Juliette Lewis and C. Thomas Howell. Heigl realized that her heart belonged to acting and not modeling and subsequently appeared in Steven Soderbergh’s critically acclaimed, King of the Hill. She was then cast in her first leading role, opposite Gerard Depardieu, in the comedy, My Father the Hero.

Isabel Evans, played by Katherine Heigl on Roswell, is Max’s intelligent, beautiful and slightly aloof sister. She often provides her brother with valuable counsel, particularly regarding the use of restraint and caution. She also has a uniquely disturbing gift for infiltrating people’s dreams and influencing their thoughts.
