Darlene Conner Healy is played by Sara Gilbert in the award-winning television sitcom Roseanne. At the start of the series she’s a tomboy who’s athletic and loves sports, then later on grows into a moody and artistic teen. She also becomes a vegetarian and an animal activist, while retaining the same sarcastic and domineering outlook as her mother, causing the two of them to clash frequently. She later attends art school and works on a graphic novel, though she also gets pregnant and gives birth to her daughter Harris.
