Zayra Alvarez was born on December 11, 1978. She started performing with different bands at the age of 14. Despite being forced by her parents to choose a different career she still pursued being a musician. She also became part of the independent film called Lycanthrope which featured one of her original songs "This Is Love". In addition, she became part of the reality television show Rock Star: Supernova as one of the contestants. She was voted off on week 7.
