When VH1 announced it has renewed
Rock of Love with Bret Michaels for third season, it became clear that the Poison frontman and his second season pick
Ambre Lake have already broken up. Although many were doubtful that Bret and Ambre wouldn't last, their split came quite as a shock given that Bret talked about his “better than ever” relationship with the
Rock of Love 2 winner just earlier this month.
Now, Ambre breaks her silence as she sheds light on her split with the
Rock of Love bachelor.

Life after
Rock of Love proved to be sweet for Bret and Ambre, who constantly kept in touch by calling and seeing each other a couple of times a month.
“Bret and I have been dating since last year. For nine or ten months, and we really, really put all of our effort, emotion and everything we had into this. I think that's what sets us apart — we were really true to that,” Ambre said.
Unfortunately, Bret and Ambre decided to part ways due to conflicting personal schedules.
"Bret has been very upfront and honest about how difficult maintaining a normal relationship may be for a touring rock star," Ambre explained. "He's right, it's absolutely an insane lifestyle and neither of us had the time to make it work."
“It led up to one big conversation. He is so busy on tour, and I am so busy with work and my life that we didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to a relationship. Unfortunately, when you don't have a lot of time, it just makes it hard for a relationship to work,” she added.
Despite the breakup, Ambre says she still loves Bret. However, she accepts the fact that both of them have to move on.
“I'm good. I am. I'm sad, of course, about the breakup. But I'm happy for Bret about this next stage in his life,” she said.
