Heather Chadwell has quite the list of credentials up her sleeve. There's prime antagonist and runner-up on the first season of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels, fourth-placer on Rock of Love: Charm School and strategy-master on I Love Money. While she has her reality television life backing her up, who would've thought she'd land a role in a big screen project?
The Sandy Creek Girls
Surprising as it may sounds, VH1 star Heather Chadwell has been cast on the upcoming drama flick titled The Sandy Creek Girls. It will be directed by Cylk Cozart, an actor renowned for his appearances on movies like Eagle Eye and 16 Blocks.
will be Cozart's feature film debut, as well as Heather Chadwell's first foray into the movie business. It's a bit difficult to see the reality star take on such a role, especially since it revolves around basketball.
According to Variety, The Sandy Creek Girls
is an indie drama set in a small prairie town high school and focusing on their girls' basketball team. The group suddenly experiences a surge of success after a series of losses and becomes an eight-time Nebraska state champion.
While Heather's exact role hasn't been revealed yet, it's pretty likely that she'll be one of the female basketball players. But seeing as how she behaved on Rock of Love
, no one would be surprised if she ends up backstabbing her teammates.
Aside from Heather Chadwell, The Sandy Creek Girls
also stars Brian Austin Green of Beverly Hills 90210
fame, Superman actor Dean Cain, and Stuart Little
's Jonathan Lipnicki. Joining them are director Cylk Cozart, Tiny Lister, Jim Brown, and basketball icon Nancy Lieberman.
Tentative filing for The Sandy Creek Girls
begins this fall in Georgia and Nebraska. In addition to that, Russ Ninemire, the real life coach of the Sandy Creek teams, will be involved in shooting the movie. -Maria Gonzalez, BuddyTV Staff Columnist
