For the winning date, Bret jets Taya and Beverly off to a motorcycle rally and music festival in Texas that he is playing. Taya has decided that even if Beverly is there, that this is her solo date and that Beverly is just a third wheel. She is all over Bret and acting like it's only her Bret and the cameras (of course). Beverly is rightly pissed, but that all seems to melt away once Bret steps on stage. Beverly is definitely the girl that lights up the most once Bret is doing his thing as a singer and she knows his music the best out of all the girls. Beverly looks like she is having the time of her life and Taya is pissed, "This is supposed to be my one-and-one date, get out of my face with the rock hands." But Beverly is blissfully oblivious and keeps throwing horns. In truth, Beverly's ability to deal with sharing Bret and Taya being all over him, makes me think her attitude is more likely to work with Bret's lifestyle. Only the girl who's all over Bret won't be Taya, it'll be a backstage groupie. Bret is a man that will always be surrounded by other adoring women and Beverly seems okay with that.
While Beverly and Taya are on their date where everyone is pissed and no one seems to have that great of a time; Mindy and Jamie are back at the hotel room scheming. To make their time away from Bret worthwhile, the girls decide to put on an impromptu sexy photo shoot. Both Jamie and Mindy pose seductively with guitars and lingerie and plan on giving Bret a copy of their best shots. Good idea ladies, there is no way Bret isn't going to go crazy for that.
After the date, Taya rips into Mindy about the Penthouse and singing career comment. Taya it seems, can't take it when the truth is pointed out to her. Mindy is surprisingly flippant with her once
Rock of Love Bus bestie, and it kind of makes us love her even more. I was wondering when these two would finally figure out that they were each others main competition, rather than friends. When Beverly tries to step in on the conversation, Taya releases the uber-bitch and says that "Beverly shouldn't have even been on the date." Taya's evil side is really coming out, which hopefully Bret gets a chance to see. Taya is kind of reminding us of the Evil Queen in
Snow White, she is certain that she is the fairest in the land, but when that certainty is challenged--the ugly under all that pretty emerges.
The next morning Bret treats the girls to a home made breakfast. Bret's in a chef's jacket and everything, with a matching blue bandana, of course. Bret scrambles some eggs for the ladies to show his appreciation for them, before taking Mindy aside for some one-on-one time. Bret wants Mindy to talk to him and really share herself, but instead Mindy takes the time to talk about her frustrations with Taya. While we agree with Mindy, there is no way someone is that perfect and put-together all the time, this was just about the worst time to bring it up. Hopefully this isn't Mindy's downfall, but considering how strong everyone else has performed this week, this could be a fatal for Mindy.
While Mindy is thorougly messing up her one-on-one time with Bret, Jamie decides she needs some face time with Bret and interrupts. Jamie walks in on the semi-trainwreck of a conversation with gifts: the sexy pictures she and Mindy took last night. As expected, Bret loves the photos and he compliments the girls on a good use of their time away from him. Though Mindy is not pleased that Jamie interrupted her time with Bret, I think that Jamie did Mindy a favor. She stopped Mindy's incessant talking about Taya and she brought Bret a sexy picture of Mindy. Jamie certainly could have just brought her seductive picture and left Mindy's in the room and totally stolen the show.
It's elimination time and the fact that this is a competition is becoming very apparent. There's nothing light-hearted about elimination, this is intense. Friendships are done, from now on this show is going to be all about Bret and the girls. And I say go for it! Screw the pseudo-frienships, take the gloves off and expose those perfectly manicured claws. While I am hoping that Taya will get eliminated, because I am sick of her holier than though perfect persona too, I know there is no way that is going to happen. In fact, Bret calls Taya first. (Curses!) The second girl Bret calls is Jamie, the dark horse to win it all. So it's come to the bottom two I have dreaded, with my two remaining favorites, Beverly and Mindy.
Bret tells Mindy that he fears she can't seperate her friendship with Taya from her relationship with him. (I guarantee you after that comment Bret, it won't be a problem. Mindy will be all, "Taya, who?") When it comes to Beverly, Bret says he's afraid she's in love with Bret Michaels the rock star, not Bret Michaels the man. Bret calls Mindy down and asks her if her heart and soul is stil lin it. She says, yes "100%" and Bret gives her her pass. Beverly looks like she's been punched in the gut, but Bret had a totally reasonable point about Beverly. It seems she may have been in love with the idea of Bret and his persona, and not him. While it wasn't the decision I would have made, it was probably the smart one.
On the Next Rock of Love Bus: The girls are going to Miami for a swamp boat gator ride. A group dinner date goes sour and silent, causing Bret to tell the girls "I'm not kidding, if I go through another date like this, I am going to send all three of you home."
