It appears as though getting beaten by
Brandi M. on
Rock of Love: Charm School wasn't such a big deal for Destiney and Lacey. Both of them saw the experience as something they can learn from, since they got that far in the reality series. It's probably a question of character too, something the two of them surely have.
Among the reality show's she's been in, Destiney thinks that
Charm School was the easiest one for her. “Obviously, there was some drama, but I'd just rather not relive any of that,” the first runner-up said. “I know I put myself in these situations, but I feel like it all was worth it in the end.”
Meanwhile, Lacey recounts her stay in the
Charm School arena rather enjoyable. “It was fun. I always have a great time doing these shows,” she declared. “To me, it's a big human psychological experiment. In my real life, off-camera, I'm not so strategic for evil, but I'm always strategic. Whenever I'm faced with competition, a goal or a dilemma, I always sit down and figure my different angles. A situation like this is the best opportunity to think that way.”
Lacey continued: “As far as this show goes, maybe if I learned anything, it's that there are ways to compete and get ahead without being so detrimental to the competition.” She also said that she would indeed have done some things differently on the show. In the end though, she realized “that it's important to find a balance.”
Brandi M. won the competition, but Destiney thinks she's gotten a good share of the victory as well. She believes that
Charm School put her on the “right path” as she has met her soulmate and developed an interest in design.
“Doing my own clothing line is something I always wanted, but I guess I never had the inspiration the way I do now,” Destiney said. “Especially after meeting my boyfriend, everything fell into place. I love creating things and making really cool stuff. This is my career now.”
As for the animal rights activist Lacey, she's sticking to her beliefs. “The one thing that I've always preached is that it's better to do something than nothing. The reason that a lot of people don't want to become a humanitarian or animal-rights activist or whatever is that they thing it's too big of a sacrifice.”
