Robot Chicken co-creator Seth Green has joined the cast of the film,
Old Dogs, a high concept comedy featuring Oscar winner Robin Williams and Golden-Globe Award winner John Travolta. Williams and Travolta will play a pair of best friends and business partners whose lives take a sharp turn when tasked to take care of 7-year-old twins.
As for Green, the
Hollywood Reporter said that the 33-year-old actor is set to appear in the film as an executive at the marketing firm run by Travolta and Williams’ characters. As the company finalizes a big deal with a Japanese conglomerate, Green’s character is keen to relocate to Tokyo and show off his Harvard-polished business skills and appreciation of Japanese culture.

The film is under the direction of Walt Becker, with whom Travolta worked on the 2007 comedy,
Wild Hogs, and written by David Weisman and David Diamond.
Other cast members include Matt Dillon (
Crash, There’s Something About Mary), Chris Astoyan (
Big Stan), Kelly Preston (
Jerry Maguire, Addicted to Love, Sky High) and Ella Bleu Travolta.
This is not the first time that Seth Green will work in the same film as Travolta. In 2002, they both appeared in the third
Austin Powers movie,
Austin Powers in Goldmember. Green reprised his role as Dr. Evil’s (Mike Myers) son, Scott, while Travolta played a character named Johann “Austinpussy” van der Smut.
Currently, Seth Green is busy working on the third season of
Robot Chicken with co-writer and long-time friend, Breckin Meyer. The stop motion animated television series debuted in 2005. Last month, the show featured a half-hour long parody of
Star Wars.
Robot Chicken will return for its third season this summer. When asked by IGN what fans can expect from the new installment, Meyer replied, “It's just getting better. We're kind of opening up with the properties that we use. We're just branching out… We're getting bigger and we're getting more fun and more people are coming in to do them. Until it's not fun, we'll keep doing it.”
