Matthew Senreich is an American writer, director and producer born on June 17, 1974 in Long Island, New York. He is best-known for co-creating and working on the Emmy Award-winning Adult Swim comedy series Robot Chicken along with fellow producer Seth Green. When he was 16 years old, he started out working as an intern for Marvel Comics, acquiring writing skills from various industry figures. As he attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut, he applied for more internships within the comic book industry, and also became involved with the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund. Upon graduation, he began work as an editorial assistant for Wizard Entertainment, a comic magazine company.
He continues to work on Robot Chicken with Seth Green, with both of them on the writing team of the show as well as directing a number of episodes. It is mainly a sketch comedy show that features figures from pop culture getting into a variety of hilarious and unrealistic dilemmas. These are all played out with stop-motion using toys, action figures, dolls, clay models, and household objects. Senreich and Green also co-own the production company Stoopid Monkey, which turns out episodes of Robot Chicken, as well as the upcoming Christmas stop-motion movie Naughty or Nice.
