Harry Lloyd was born on November 17, 1983 in London, England. Lloyd is the great, great, great grandson of famous novelist Charles Dickens. Lloyd went to Eaton College and during his stay there, was cast in the role of Young Steerforth in the college production of his great, great, great grandfathers’ bestselling David Copperfield. He eventually studied English at Christ Church, Oxford where he joined the Oxford University Dramatic Academy as both actor and director in many of their productions. His most memorable performance was as Valentin in Kiss of the Spider Woman. Lloyd has been in a number of television programs since graduating. He appeared on Holby City, Vital Signs and The Bill before landing the role of Will Scarlett on Robin Hood.

Will Scarlett as portrayed by Harry Lloyd on Robin Hood, is the youngest of Robin’s brood of forest outlaws. He is the son of Robin’s carpenter whose family suffered during the time of Robin’s absence. Will’s extensive background in carpentry and woodwork has made him essential as the engineer in Robin’s team and he is often tasked with helping the group escape from trouble.
