Last week, we learned more about Nora's (Daniella Alonso) past and Monroe finally got his hands on a magical pendant. In the season's ninth episode, "Kashmir", Rachel's (Elizabeth Mitchell) plan is blown and Miles (Billy Burke) worries about seeing Monroe again.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

Massive Hallucinations

On their way to Philadelphia, Miles and the others team up with a group of rebels. Miles promises the rebels that he will give them Monroe if they help his group rescue Danny. But of course, things do not go smoothly during the journey.

At one point, Charlie (Tracy Spiridakos) steps on a mine and though Nora manages to disable it, the tunnel they are using to enter the city collapses behind them, sealing off their air supply. With the oxygen running low, they all begin to suffer from vivid hallucinations.

One of those hallucinations is something we saw in the preview for tonight's episode, a confrontation between Miles and Monroe. But this confrontation goes rather well, as hallucination-Monroe just wants to chat with Miles. Hallucination-Monroe knows what Miles is afraid of -- that if Monroe will take him back, Miles will sell out his friends and fall in line with the militia all over again. Given his history with Monroe, it makes sense that Miles might worry about repeating old patterns, but his love for Charlie is unquestionable and I cannot see him betraying her for anyone.

Extreme Measures

In tonight's episode, we get yet another example of how far Rachel is willing to go in order to protect her family. Under Monroe's orders, Rachel is apparently building an amplifier to boost the pendant's range and allow it to power large devices like tanks and jets. But being the suspicious person he is, Neville (Giancarlo Esposito) thinks Rachel is up to something, so Monroe has one of Rachel's old partners brought in to examine her supposed amplifier.

The man tells Monroe that the device Rachel is building is actually a bomb, not an amplifier and Monroe is not pleased. He tells Rachel that their deal is off and Danny is as good as dead. Rachel insists that Monroe needs her but he knows he can simply order her former colleague to build the amplifier instead. Desperate to save her son, Rachel murders her one-time friend, thus becoming invaluable to Monroe once more.

As a long-time Elizabeth Mitchell fan, I have to praise the Revolution creators in choosing her for this role. I doubt another actress could switch between emotions as quickly and smoothly as Mitchell does in the moments before Rachel kills her friend. Mitchell's performance in this episode is just stunning and Rachel has become one of the most compelling characters on the show.

Betrayed Again

Though Team Charlie was betrayed last week, they suffer the same fate again in tonight's episode. The leader of the rebels is actually an undercover militia solider who plans to take Miles back to Monroe. Luckily, he does not get far but he does manage to kill the other rebels and injure Charlie before he is taken down. Charlie recovers quickly enough and the group marches on to Philly.

What will Charlie and the others encounter now that they have finally made it to Philadelphia? Will they rescue Danny? Will Charlie be reunited with her mom? And how will the real confrontation between Miles and Monroe go down? Next week is Revolution's fall finale and from the preview alone, it looks like it will be a nail-biter.
