The news is good for three of NBC's newest shows. The network has officially picked up freshman drama Revolution as well as comedies Go On and The New Normal for full seasons.

Revolution, a futuristic drama from J.J. Abrams and Eric Kripke, debuted with 11.6 million viewers. While it has dipped over the next two episodes (the third episode brought in 8.4 million), it has dominated its competitive time slot with the coveted 18-49 demographic. It has also helped NBC take down ratings heavyweight CBS, as this season of Hawaii Five-0 has started with the show's two lowest-rated episodes ever.

Go On and The New Normal started solidly on Tuesday nights, though they have taken slight dips now that the time slot is more competitive with New Girl, NCIS: Los Angeles and Dancing with the Stars as competition.

The three shows mark the first full season pick-ups for the new season and help turn around NBC's usual fall problems. Last year at this time, The Playboy Club and Free Agents were canceled and Prime Suspect was on its way out.

The full season order is good news for the comedies, but it's especially meaningful for a serialized drama like Revolution. Viewers no longer need to fear that it will be canceled quickly, so hopefully they will be more likely to latch onto the mystery.

Word is still out on NBC's other new shows this season, the Wednesday comedies Animal Practice and Guys with Kids (though the numbers aren't looking great). And the network has another new show on deck with the firefighter drama Chicago Fire premiering Wednesday, October 10 at 10pm.

Revolution airs Mondays at 10pm, Go On airs Tuesdays at 9pm and The New Normal airs Tuesdays at 9:30pm.
