Rescue Me

-Drama Rescue Me, created by Denis Leary and Peter Tolan, is a critically acclaimed series about a firefighter named Tommy Gavin. Gavin, played with incredible range by Denis Leary, is a mess after his cousin dies on 9/11 and struggles to keep his life together afterwards. Tommy is abrasive, a relapsed alcoholic, mean a lot of the time, but through his firefighting on Rescue Me, he constantly finds redemption. Rescue Me airs on FX.

Biography

Dean H. Winters was born in New York City on July 20, 1964. His numerous small screen appearances include popular shows such as Oz, Sex and the City, NYPD Blue, Third Watch and CSI: Miami. He starred in three films: Undercover Angel with Yasmeen Bleeth and Hellraiser: Hellseeker.

Johnny Gavin is played by Dean Winters on FX’s comedy-drama series Rescue Me. Johnny is Tommy ’s younger brother, a detective with good connections in the NYPD. He reluctantly rescues his brother in getting out of scrapes, and nurses a secret crush on Janet , his sister-in-law and Tommy’s estranged wife. This passive role made him resent his brother as time went by.
