ABC is the latest network to pick up new shows, and its crop is a wide variety of serious dramas, primetime soaps, sci-fi thrillers and comedies. There are shows starring ER's Anthony Edwards, Men of a Certain Age's Andre Braugher, Lost's Terry O'Quinn and Friday Night Lights' Connie Britton.

Here are the nine shows.

666 Park Ave: A young couple agrees to manage a NYC apartment building where supernatural things occur. The show stars Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams (Desperate Housewives) as the married couple who own the building, Dave Annable (Brothers and Sisters) and Rachael Taylor (Charlie's Angels, Grey's Anatomy) as the couple managing it and One Tree Hill's Robert Buckley as a tenant. It's also the sixth show from my Top 10 Pilots list to get picked up.

Last Resort: Created by The Shield's Shawn Ryan, this show centers on a nuclear sub that goes rogue when the commander refuses to fire its nuclear missiles, leading to the crew forming their own independent nation. It stars Andre Braugher and Felicity's Scott Speedman.

Red Widow: The widow of an assassinated criminal takes over his role in the crime syndicate to protect her family.
