The bilingual Joanna was discovered by Nickelodeon when she was in high school, then she starred in several seasons of the show Are You Afraid of the Dark? She postponed acting full-time for a year to study at Florida State University. Afterwards, she was cast in shows such as Boston Public, Dawson's Creek and Family Law. Cheyenne Montgomery is played by Joanna Garcia on CW's sitcom Reba. She is the eldest daughter of Reba Hart, and she married Van Montgomery when she got pregnant with his kid while they were in high school.
