Looks like the show that almost couldn't make it is now getting a lot of pretty impressive new cast members.

Now joining the cast of Dollhouse is Ray Wise, who last appeared on the CW's Reaper as Lucifer.  (I only saw that show a few times, but I liked him.)  Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello reports that this time, he's playing Howard, a higher-up at the Dollhouse with a huge presence and a possibly huger (is that even a word?) humor.

Now, I know some Whedon-heads would've loved to see James Marsters in the role, but personally, Wise is a better fit, give or take.

Wise joins a pretty impressive list of Dollhouse newcomers: next week we'll see Jamie Bamber and Alexis Denisof, and in the future we'll be seeing Keith Carradine and Summer Glau.

But that aside, here's a pretty obvious question: if Howard is a higher-up, then where the heck has he been all this time?  I can presume, however, that he's ferried in from another Dollhouse.  Or maybe something happens to Boyd and he has to pitch in as the head of security?

Bah, we'll have answers next Friday.  Good enough.
