So let me get this straight, MTV.  You want to change all of the rules of these Real World/Road Rules challenges.  There will be no teams and no challenges.  It's every man and woman for themselves.  There won't be a pimped out house, stocked with food.  The players will have to ration everything and will only receive air drops of food and supplies every so often.  You want to change the game entirely and you expect me to like it?  Well, MTV, you took a risk.  A risk that paid off.  Never have I been happier to see a bunch of spoiled, spotlight hogging reality contestants have to rough it on their own.  Of course, they were still given alcohol, which was lame, but how else do you expect to get Kenny and Johanna to get it on in front of everyone?

Here are the rules for Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Island.  The U.S. Army will make drops that contain supplies to build a boat.  Players will have to build two boats that will eventually get them to another island.  Somewhere on that second island is a treasure chest containing $300,000.  The problem is that each boat can only contain 4 people which means alliances will need to be formed early on.  In order to get on the boat, you'll need more than just an alliance.  You'll need a key.  There are 3 ways to get keys: winning an elimination challenge, being the player who receives the most votes and is therefore safe from elimination, and if an eliminated player gives their key to a remaining player.  Seems easy enough. 

All Tonya wanted was to show everyone that she had changed and that she was now a sane human being.  Kenny was out to make sure that that didn't happen.  He spent the first few days picking on her, shouting at her, and calling her names, like a "retard".  The older players, of course, wanted to protect each other, feeling that they deserve the money the most but the new players weren't ready to be shoved aside. 

Two players volunteered to go in to the elimination challenge - Abram and Kenny.  The boys want to get rid of all the girls this season and feel the only way to do that is to put themselves at risk in order to take them out.  Tonya received the most votes, went into the challenge, and lost miserably to the two guys.  Though she pleaded her case to stay, almost everyone voted her out, with a few exceptions.  No money for her.

The season looks to be a very exciting and dramatic ones.  There are lots of hookups and almost every girl on the island gets naked at some point.  The boys are out for blood and will do just about anything to make sure they are the last ones standing.  Alcohol is free flowing but rice, fruit, and water are not, which should make for a ton of unhealthy behavior, both physically and emotionally.  Looking at it right now, it's tough to say who will be there in the end but if Derrick, Johnny Bananas, and Kenny have anything to say about it, they'll be claiming the cash at the end with one more lucky team member.
