Madeleine Stowe Biography:

Born on August 18, 1958 in Eagle Rock, Los Angeles, California, Madeleine Stowe had a difficult time growing up, as she had to deal with her father’s battle with multiple sclerosis. When she was 10 years old, she started studying the piano in the hopes of becoming a concert pianist someday, but when her piano teacher passed away, she stopped taking lessons. She attended the University of Southern California, where she majored in cinema and journalism. As a student, she wasn’t so focused on her academics and spent most of her time performing at a Beverly Hills theater called Solaris, where a talent manager eventually discovered her. Stowe has built an impressive acting career, having appeared in numerous films, including Stakeout, Revenge, The Last of the Mohicans, Short Cuts, Blink, Little House on the Prairie and Twelve Monkeys. Currently, Stowe is gracing the small screen with her role on the NBC crime drama, Raines.

Samantha Kohl is played by Madeleine Stowe on the show Raines. Samantha is an attractive and serious therapist, who helps Detective Raines with his unusual, yet sometimes troublesome, gift.
