Sherry Miller was known as the real estate agent Jennifer Taylor on the series Queer as Folk.  She portrayed the mother of Justin (Randy Harrison) and Molly, and later, the ex-wife of Craig Taylor.  For the most part, she struggled to come to terms with her son's homosexuality.  But with the help of Debbie Novotny, who strongly supports gay rights, and by joining the organization PFLAG, she finally embraced the fact that her son was gay and accepted his partner Brian Kinney (Gale Harold) as a son-in-law towards the end.  In the coming months, the Canadian actress will be featured in a drama miniseries and will be busy working on her new TV project.

The former Queer as Folk actress has just completed filming the miniseries The Trojan Horse, which is expected to air later this year.  She plays Finola Halliwell, alongside Stephen McHattie and Tom Skerritt (Brothers & Sisters).

Additionally, Miller will be part of the television series jPod, which is based on a novel by Douglas Coupland.  It centers on a group of video game programmers whose last names all begin with “J” as they live and work in a development “pod.”  The pilot is due to air in January 2008 on the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

Miller remained active on television brought about by her exposure on Queer as Folk, which led to numerous guest roles and recurring appearances.  On the big screen, she graced movies like It's a Boy Girl Thing and For Lease, while on the small screen, her credits included The Dresden Files, Robson Arms and most recently, The Best Years as Dorothy O'Sullivan.
