Born January 19, 1981 in New York, Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch grew up in Spain, Uruguay and Argentina. This bright girl graduated Magna Cum Laude from Harvard University, where she took up a double major in English & American Literature and Visual & Environmental Studies. Through the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, she got into the Emmy's Internship Program. Her thesis entitled “Turning Twenty”, a photography collection, was also showcased at the Carpenter Center Gallery located in Boston. After her graduation, Tulloch moved to Los Angeles to purse a career in acting.
Tulloch made appearances on several TV shows such as
Cold Case, The West Wing, Lost and
Moonlight. She also played R2-D2's girlfriend on the mockumentary
R2-D2: Beneath the Dome, which was produced by Star Wars creator George Lucas. She starred as Alex on the Internet series
Lonelygirl15.
In theater, she was part of numerous plays including
Oleanna, Hamlet and
Who's Afraid of Viriginia Woolf? In 2007, her performance as Sally on
Quarterlife, which was staged at the Pico Playhouse, earned her a nomination at the 28th Annual LA Weekly Theater Award.
She is part of the films
Lakeview Terrace and
Vacuuming the Cat. She played Alex in the sci-fi/drama/romance movie
Tyranny. She was also cast for
Riding the Pine, a movie directed by Jeff Woolnough. Her other film credits include
Life is Short, Sent, Antigone and
Two Doors.
Dylan Kreiger is played by
Bitsie Tulloch on NBC's
Quarterlife. The show is an adaptation of an online series and social network with the same title. It centers on the lives of six twenty-something artists as they come of age. Dylan, an associate editor for Attitude magazine, sends her friends into fits when they found out that she posted a video blog about them on the Quarterlife website.
